The official route calls for 58 miles, but cut-off points for shorter distances are available, namely routes 20 and 80 (although be forewarned that 20 involves some major league climbing to get back on course). As predicted, we had comfortable temperatures in the low 70s with a light 7mph breeze from the N-NW.   A decent day !Six TTers rolled to the start line of the Race of Truth and wow!  everyone crushed it!      Chris Lamothe came out for some TT fun for the first time in 2 years.   He rocketed through the course in an FMT of 23:41(25.34mph).  Mike Hopper road his TT bike using platform pedals to an impressive PR of 24:51(24.15mph).  Proving you don't need to be clipped in ...Continue Reading

Hi,I'll be the ride leader for tonight's OCC Wednesday night ride.  We're in the last week of the Tour de France, so come out and celebrate with the "Manlius-Delphi Tour".We start at Eagle Hill Middle School in Manlius and do a loop heading South to Rt 80.  While there is one "official" route tonight at 27 miles, you can add some distance by including a loop around DeRuyter lake (adds about eight miles), or you can shorten it a bit by skipping the jog on Rt 20 to Watervale on the return leg ...Continue Reading

The day was cool early on and rose into the high 70's at the end of the ride. We decided to take the route that avoided RT 20 but that was no favorable since there was lots of traffic and a not so wide shoulder.  The next ride leader for this should mention this.   So there were 8 of us which broke into a fast four and a moderate four group.
