From: mailto: Small number of riders for tonight’s club ride out of Marcellus. I’m guessing most people didn’t want to chance riding in the rain or on wet roads. And indeed, four out of the five riders tonight got caught in some heavy rain. Hopefully next week will be drier. -Colleen Sent from my iPhone ...Continue Reading

Wow, didn’t think there would be many showing up last night, but I was wrong. There were 26 brave souls riding 480 miles, that tested Brian’s ability to work the force to change the weather and protect us. Three groups left the park. Unfortunately there appear to be a couple of holes in Brian’s force field. The long distance and short distance group experienced some really wet riding. While my group only experienced a short light sprinkle. Thanks Brian!! Keep up the good work.Se ...Continue Reading

It appears that the TT course may get nicked by a Tstorm cell at 5:45pm. Hard to predict. The OCC WCS may not be strong enough to repell the cells. Unless there is a drastic change I plan on heading out to the TT course to sweep it. If the rain hits and quickly leaves, I'd be willing to delay the start 20 minutes or so to allow the roads to dry out. I'll keep ya posted. Text me if you have questions.BrianTT Directeur315-727-1458 On Tuesday, June 29, ...Continue Reading

I will be there to lead this ride. Based on who’s there at ride time, we’ll decide on whether to include north brickyard, shorten it to 13 miles or break into two groups. Please be ready to roll at 6 p.m. Karen Kelly On Tue, Jun 29, 2021 at 10:56 AM Mike Lyon lyon689@PROTECTED [occ2] <occ2@PROTECTED> wrote:__ From: lyon689@PROTECTED Hi everyone. Hot enough for you. Hi everyone. Hot enough for you. Well there are risks of popup thunder storms but what the heck, let’s plan a ride anyway. My group will be doing the Jack’s Reef option tonight, 21 mile. No big hills to climb or screaming down hills. Not sure about other options but if there are people that want to ride the canal or do a shorter road ride and there is no one to lead, I will be glad to lead one those options and get someone to lead my usual group. Tom’s group will be doing option ??? K ...Continue Reading

As usual Mother Nature is throwing us a mixed bag today. The chance of precipitation is about 30-40% at the start time with a near certainty of T-storms in the 2-4pm windown. The high temps, high humidity and low wind all bode for fast times. I'll send an update later in the day as we know more. Some stunning occurrances in the Tour de France so far. Really hard to watch the bodies of these great athletes get strewn about like rag dolls. Truly amazing more riders haven't t ...Continue Reading

From: mailto: Nine crazy riders thought it would be a good idea to do a hilly ride on this hot day. One did 34, the rest around 55 miles (4,000 ft climbing). Breezy day, but it seemed to make the heat more tolerable. A convenience store on Rte 80 near New Woodstock at the 30-mile mark was perfect. The nice lady there filled all our water bottles so we could all finish (sorta) strong. Hard to believe the Tour de France riders did double the miles and quadruple the climbing we did on day one. And they had to contend wi ...Continue Reading
