I will be leading us out of Phoenix to Rudy’s bright and early at 8:00 am. I will bring 2 paper maps but navigation can be found on the club website or Ride With GPS. For those of you interested in the Rudy’s experience, from the website it looks like they are running a cash only takeout window. The Olympic Men’s Road race runs live into the wee hours tonight, but I think I’ll DVR it…Paul Voglewede Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone ...Continue Reading

Four club members showed-up to the leaderless Wednesday night ride. Two members did 32 miles, one did 18 and one did a wildcat ride. Although the official routes solidly fell in to the "hilly" category, you couldn't have asked for a more perfect night to ride...low 70's, dry and very calm winds. You did your best, Brian! I felt sorry for you most of all- you spent all that time setting signage, sweeping, prepping your laptop & timer, studying radar, etc. to have Mother Nature blow it & wash it all away….As always, thanks for your time and effort making TT possible every week.Mark PersonSent from my iPhoneOn Jul 21, 2021, at 1:37 AM, Brian Goetke <goetke1@PROTECTED> wrote:A TT Tale.....I arrived at the TT course around 5:50 and swept the course, set up the signs and was back at the start of ...Continue Reading

Eleven hopeful, but as it turned out, foolish riders showed up. It started out with me bringing a similar, but wrong map for my ride. Then looking at the radar, which showed all the weather considerably north and also west of us, off we went. After about 30 mins the sky darkened. Then it was mentioned that the front was moving at 40 mph. I added we are doing 20 mph so it is actually moving toward us at 60 mph. My group decided to cut the ride short and headed back to the park. Best decision ...Continue Reading

A TT Tale.....I arrived at the TT course around 5:50 and swept the course, set up the signs and was back at the start of the course by 6:20pm. All was going as planned. The red cells were hugging the north shore of Oneida Lake and passing to the east. Skies were clear behind the red cells. All was good with the exception of the swirling wind. The group opted to wait a little longer to let the wind die down. Typically, the wind calms down after the cells pass by. I monitore ...Continue Reading
