About half of Kinderhook Rd. is freshly stoned, from its juncture at Bolivar Rd to the big curve about a mile to the west. Poolsbrook Rd. access is not affected (so far).Bolivar Rd is freshly stoned from its end in Chittenango and north past Kinderhook Rd. But the bridge over the stream near Fyler Rd is under construction. I didn't inspect it to see whether you could cross it on a bike or by foot.Update on New Boston Rd/St: In an email a couple of days ago, I wrote about signs warning that New Boston Rd or New Boston St ...Continue Reading

An option for the 33 milers would be to continue past Rt 20 on Oran Delphi to a right hand turn up OranGulf Road. Its a nice climb that bypasses the busy Rt20 section and ends up at the same point on Rt 20 at the top of the hill.Brian On Wednesday, June 16, 2021, 11:36:34 AM EDT, Bob Ravera RLRavera@PROTECTED [occ2] <occ2@PROTECTED> wrote: From: RLRavera@PROTECTED I am the ride leader for tonight's Wed night ride. Amazingly, um.. I mean predictably, the weather last night improved dramatically as the TT start time approached. By 6:15pm the skies became partly sunny and the winds dropped off to a slight breeze from the NW. Temperature was around 62 degrees. One potential TTer had arrived early and pre-road the first part of the course and became demoralized by the strong headwinds and heavy air at that time. He opted to do a training ride and run instead. He did not have faith in the OCC W ...Continue Reading

I am the ride leader for tonight's Wed night ride. There is construction on Apulia Road which might require a route change. I will check on the way home from work to see how it looks. In the event we should revise the route, I've attached a revised ride map. I will bring copies to the ride. It seems the best way to avoid Apulia Road construction is to take a left on Taylor Road off of Route 173 just before the Jamesville jail. Taylor leads to Route 91. Route 91 leads to a right on ...Continue Reading

We had a somewhat cool evening but 23 riders came out for a great ride. Nearly everyone did a 23 mile route, which contained a couple of climbs and fast down hills. 506 miles were ridden and some of Mrs. Lyon’s chocolate zucchini bread was available at the end of the ride. Thanks of Karen Kelly and Mike Schiavone for leading other groups and of course Mrs. Lyon.If anyone would like to suggest a route for next week let me know.See you next week!! ...Continue Reading
