Time Trial is CANCELLED!!The roads are still wet here in Manlius at 2:10pm. Temperature is a chilly 56 degrees. I am doubtful the rides will fully dry out and even if they do, the breeze will be 10mph out of the W-NW. That is the most unfavorable direction. Happy Columbus Day to ALL ! Well tomorrow isn't looking all that good for the Time Trial. Forecast calls for steady rain in the morning and tailing off around 1-2pm. The temperature is supposed to be 58 degrees and the wind will shift to the W-NW at 10mph. If this forecast holds I'm inclined to cancel the TT. I'll assess again tomorrow morning. Members,This coming weekend (the 17th and 18th) was to be the cyclocross race. Since COVID caused the race to be canceled, we will have club rides instead. The rides are on the calendar now and they are Cam-2 (Warners Unrambled) and LBP-2 (Joan's Breakfast Ride). They both will need leaders. Please consider being a leader. We had an exceptional night for the Time Trial especially considering it is early October. The temperature was 62 degrees and the Southwest breeze had settled down to what felt like maybe 5mph. Five TTers came out to tackle the TT course. The Fastest Man Time (FMT) goes to Sam Sampere as he flew through the course with a blistering time of 25:12 (23.81mph).
