Weather forecast continues to deteriorate. I’ll make a decision in the morning on whether the ride goes out. A wee bit of rain is one thing - thunderstorms are another. Karen__ From: triharder.karen@PROTECTED Hi, I’m the ride “leader” for Saturday’s Van Buren- Cross Lakes rides, along with Jordan Hayes. The 27 mile route will be a no-drop ride, so if you’ve wanted to try a weekend club ride, but were afraid of being left in the dust, well I’ll be back in the dust with you enjoying the ...Continue Reading

Twelve members rode today from Fulton on the Chimney Bluffs Route. Most did the 44 mile option, two did 69 that went to Lake Ontario and the bluffs. The ride was mainly on rolling country roads with very little traffic. There was much to see – corn fields, apple orchards, cows, horses, lots of geese, deer, a goat, a coyote (so I’m told) and some Minions (I couldn’t get them all in one picture). Overall it seemed like the approval rating of this ride was high. And the weather cooperated – cloudy this morning, but as prom ...Continue Reading

A blustery NW breeze made for the most challenging conditions our TTers have had this year. They were up for the challenge. We had two new TTers put down their inaugural times and they are already talking about coming back to attempt to eclipse them in the weeks ahead. Welcome Mark and Drew!We were one second away from having a 3-way tie for the Fastest Man Time ! Ken Toscano battled the winds to only a 16 second deficit to his PR with a time of 25:53 (23.19mph). He did this on his road bike wit ...Continue Reading

On a beautiful evening (finally not much wind and cool temps) 10 riders completed 25 miles over various iterations of the Lafayette Rides loop. With sunset now at 7:49 p.m. it was the longest distance that most of us mortal riders could accomplish. No incidents as far as I know but, of course, almost everyone was gone by the time I got back to the parking lot. ...Continue Reading

It was another great night for a ride, weather wise. We had 20 members and 2 guests ride last night a total of 436 miles. Had one flat, which showed me I had totally forgotten how to convert my pump from Presta to Schrader. Thanks to Glen Larson for helping. I also realized that I had forgotten why the SnE rides were started, to encourage new riders to participate. The start of my ride had a few, at least to me, relatively small climbs. We had a couple of people that started out on ~2 ...Continue Reading
