We had 5 brave people come out on this absolutely beautiful night to ride. No one opted for the 68 mile loop or 51 so all riders did the 24.7. No real major incidents to report but we had 1 chain drop and one shoe separate from its sole! Part of Cottons road was Tarred and chipped recently but it was reasonably ridable. Then there is Colgrove road which is a coarse dirt road. If you ride at Great Bear and ever wanted to give back, here is a good chance. This Friday at 9am Friends of Great Bear will be putting in a new 30ft section of plankway on the Long Trail just south of 6 North junction. Some of the lumber is at the site but 9 10ft boards will need to be carried. The base will need to placed and boards nailed on. Dick will have most of the tools needed. So much for avoiding staring at radar screens and the skies.  The latest track of cells potentially has green(showers) spreading over the course starting at 5ish...    with a  potential yellow/orange cell hitting the ride start line at 6:00pm.    I will prepare as if the rain will miss the course.   If I see widespread rain that wets the road, I will abort the mission.
