We had six riders come out for the Sunday ride.   A skinny rogue rain cell decided to park itself over Rt 13 and Rt 80 starting around 9:20.   I swear it drifted south to follow us as we rode along to make sure we had at least an hour of wetness. The S-SW wind was pretty brisk and added to the challenge of the first 15 miles.   Once it it cleared out, Mother Nature turned on the sauna.  Wow! I'll be the ride leader for the OCC Sunday ride this weekend, which starts at 9:00 am from the Cazenovia High School..The ride options are 22, 33, 49 and 70 miles.  The forecast is for the temperature to be 77 degrees at the start and warm up to 81 degrees by noon.  The skies will be partly cloudy/partly sunny.  There will be a 10 mph breeze out of S-SW.   At 11am there is a 40% chance of showers in Hamilton.  So, if anyone opts for the long 70 mile ride, there is a higher liklihood of gett ...Continue Reading

Hi folks,I'll be the ride leader for the Saturday OCC ride this week, which starts at 9:00 am at the 3 Rivers Plaza in Phoenix NY.Lots of options this week, with 11, 24, 38, 48 and 57 mile routes.  The forecast looks to be warm (low 80's) and mostly cloudy (effectively zero chance of rain), so don't forget your water bottles. The temperature was a comfortable 74 degrees.Tuesday evening. A light 6mph breeze puffed out of the NW.  Seven TTers rolled up to the line for the Race of Truth.  We had two first-timers... welcome Minh and Bill !!    Ron Nelson made the drive down from Oswego to do his first Tuesday TT of 2025. Perfect summer night for a ride! The weather couldn’t have been better - warm with a very light breeze.🚴‍♂️ Twelve riders started, and all twelve finished strong!✨ Highlights:1 new rider joined us for his first-ever group ride - and he crushed it! 5 riders tackled the 39-mile route. 6 riders rode 31-35 miles (including a missed turn on Verplank that added bonus miles!) 1 rider completed 25 miles - his longest ride ever!
