I am the ride leader (paperwork gal) for the 9 am Labor Day ride out of Tully High School. Any labor that you will experience on this ride will be rewarded with some gorgeous views. The forecast right now is not good. So if it is raining I will just be the paperwork gal. I will be riding the 29 mile route. The roads on that route are in good condition. E Homer-Baltimore is no longer rough they oiled and stoned it earlier this summer. The two rougher spots on this route are NY 91 after Tinker Falls and US 11.I pers ...Continue Reading

Hi,I’m your ride “leader” for Saturday’s ride. It looks like there are four options between 32 and 64 miles — something for everyone! As of right now the weather looks good for the day. I will lead the 64 mile distance in the style of Mike Lyons, from the back. If anyone wants to get in extra distance, feel free to ride back to meet me and ride in with me! PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE. This was originally on the calendar for an 8:00 start, but has been changed to 9:00. I will try to bring cue sh ...Continue Reading

5 riders, 125 miles, sun from 6:08 on, dry roads. Who could ask for more. You are out of a job, Goetke, I'm the new meteorologist. Of course, I just brought all rain to myself. Beautiful fall-like evening. "Summer's End" to steal the title from John Prine's sweet new album. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXbEFTv9zr0 Bob Ravera ...Continue Reading

Ken brought his 14 year old son for his inaugural official Time Trial. Welcome Kaleb! We also had one guest who I suspect will become a regular on the course... Another day without rain, go figure. 37 members and 1 guest rode 700 miles. No problems as far as I know. But there was an unusual event. No one touched the cookies or zucchini bread until I got back and even then no cookies were consumed. Were these pod people that came last night??? Only a couple more Tuesday rides left. Mike ...Continue Reading

I'm ride leader today. There's a decent chance the weather will clear. Ride start is at Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery. *You may want to avoid Route 690/695 west due to the NYS Fair. I missed last weeks Wed ride as traffic was backed up between the Fairgrounds exit and the Geddes St. exit. * Days are much shorter now, sunset is at 7:47 p.m. Thanks. Bob Ravera ...Continue Reading

The weather is looking great for Tuesday evening! And we may back on the old course! I've been told (thanks Ken!) that Chestnut Ridge has been lined and swept. I'll just have to make sure the turn onto Marsh Mill is clean enough for me to broom sweep.A couple of days ago the forecast called for our treasured SE wind... but now, it is supposed to be out of the South. That is still better than our usual pattern of NW breeze. See ya at the start!BrianTT Directeur315-727-1458 ...Continue Reading

12 riders showed for the 0800 start w/temps in the low 50's. 2 of them who rode to the ride in shorts and short sleeve jerseys but no vest, jacket or full fingered gloves, coming down a large, steep hill @ they're ride start. Guess they wanted to "warm up". 1 rider arrived 1/2hr late. 5 riders did the 32 option, 5 riders doing the 50mi route, and 3 a bit less, to bypass the Song MTN climb. Roads were generally in good shape, with the exception of the 5mile climb up Willowdale. No mechanicals or incidents ...Continue Reading
