Twenty four riders came out for Saturday's Tour de Little France, fairly well split among the various route options, for a total of 1134 miles ridden. It was a lovely cool day for a ride, and the scenery was spectacular. I have to give a special shout out to Paul Vogelwede for riding with me for the entire half-century ride. He was so selfless to do that, and I would seriously not have made it without his support. There was more climbing per mile than I have ever done on a ride longer than 10 miles. I will be leading us out of Lysander Town Park on Sunday 9/1 at 9:00 am. The Apple Country Metric ride has 35,45, and 62 mile offerings. The weather forecast is calling for a 50% chance of rain but I’m hoping that will hold off until afternoon so at least some riding can occur. I will have a few paper maps. Hope to get the first ride of September in with you!Paul Voglewede Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone ...Continue Reading

I am the ride leader (paperwork gal) for the 9 am Labor Day ride out of Tully High School. Any labor that you will experience on this ride will be rewarded with some gorgeous views. The forecast right now is not good. So if it is raining I will just be the paperwork gal. I will be riding the 29 mile route. The roads on that route are in good condition. E Homer-Baltimore is no longer rough they oiled and stoned it earlier this summer. The two rougher spots on this route are NY 91 after Tinker Falls and US 11.I pers ...Continue Reading

Hi,I’m your ride “leader” for Saturday’s ride. It looks like there are four options between 32 and 64 miles — something for everyone! As of right now the weather looks good for the day. I will lead the 64 mile distance in the style of Mike Lyons, from the back. If anyone wants to get in extra distance, feel free to ride back to meet me and ride in with me! PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE. This was originally on the calendar for an 8:00 start, but has been changed to 9:00. I will try to bring cue sh ...Continue Reading
