Nine riders showed up at the new start time; one came at the usual time, he missed the update.  Next time I will add to our FB page.   One rider did the entire ride.  He got back okay, but agreed it was a brutal day.  Those of us who began at 9 regrouped in Minetto and made the decision to return to the start.  We’ll do the entire route on a more seasonable day. Thanks to everyone who came out.  Stay cool. ...Continue Reading

Hot day 90 degrees and sunny, low wind   101-3 100-2 94-1  intended on 100 72-4 61-1 60-1 57-1 52-1   Two riders stopped on Black Creek road and were given cold bottled water and offered hot dogs and hamburgers One rider 94 mi was dragging and picked up by someone he knew that was driving by.  Driver asked him what kind of work he did, and was offered a job starting ASAP.  Rider intended on 61 but changed to century.  Wife was mad he didn’t have a cell but 50% increase in pay was the resu ...Continue Reading

Rode down Stanley and there is new loose stone on the downhill going west I walked down the last part since I didn’t know the thickness of the stone at the bottom before right turn. It was another decent Tuesday night for the Time Trial... almost a clone of last week... with maybe a 1-2mph stronger NW breeze.  We again had eight riders toe their wheel to the line including one newby.  Welcome Paul!    Alex Johnson regained his FMT status and ripped through the course in 24:50 (24.16mph).  He wore his running shorts over his biking shorts so he could quickly transition to run a brick after the TT.  I'm guessing that cost him about 20 seconds.   Junio ...Continue Reading
