It was nice to see the weather actually be better than what was forecasted for the start time. We had partly sunny skies, temperature around 78 degrees and very light 2-3mph puffs from the NW. We had six individuals and a 3-man Salty Chimps team show up to do battle with the TT course. Alex Johnson, again, led the way with an FMT time of 24:13 (24.78 mph). Friday’s ride is one of our famous rides in the Finger Lakes. Starting in Geneva we ride some of the roads near Keuka and Seneca Lakes. There are some climbs on each route with Italy Hill being the biggest on the longer, 68 mile, ride. We’ll eat a late lunch after in Geneva for those that are interested. FYI - There is a bridge under construction about 1/4 mile down Oran Delphi road, which is part of the route for tonight's ride.The marked detour goes up Pompey Center road, then down Indian Hill and connects back to Oran Delphi after the bridge.An alternate is to continue down 92 to Pompey Hollow and take that down to Delphi road and reconnect with the route.That changes the total distance by about .2 miles ...Continue Reading

Wow what a great night for a ride. There were 57 riders tonight covering 1114 miles of beautiful roads. Only one reported mishap. That was me. As usual Mother Nature won't let us completely relax tomorrow. There is a good chance we'll see showers mid-afternoon, but all should be good by start time. There will be a gentle 5mph NW breeze to cool off the TTers (yep, that's the silver lining). Temps will be a comfortable 75 degrees.
