Well given that cyclists aren't allowed to disturb the concerts that take place at the ampitheatre plopped right in the middle of the west side trail, I don't see much point in worrying about building a trail around the south end of the lake. Members might want to know that the County Legislature is going to vote soon on siting the Bike Path around the Lake through the roosting area of the Bald Eagles on Murphy’s Island (across from Destiny). I think many bikers would not like to see this happen. The County is going back on its word to site the trail on the railroad tracks, not an area disturbing the Eagles.
