We have a winner ! Marco Pantani (aka il Pirata or il Elefantino by Armstrong ) was the last to win the Giro and the Tour in the same year. Congrats Josh!If Movistar can avoid losing much time in the Team TT, and Quintana has problems early on, Landa may be a good bet. Odds makers have him as the 4th best bet along with Nibali and Dumoulin. Froome, Porte and Quintana are the early favorites. It's a great day for a Time Trial ! At start time the temperature is projected to by 77 degrees with low humidity and very little wind - 3 mph S. The days are long now too. So, if you live east of Syracuse, why not ride on out to the start and slam the TT and then cruise on home. You can easily be home by 3rd inning of the Yankees-Phillies game or the Mets-Pirates debacle (yeh, I'm a disgruntled Mets fan).Okay... sorry, I digress. I should be talking cycling. The T ...Continue Reading

This ride has two climbs which is in the name of the ride. Text instructions have been corrected from error of last years ride (thanks Doug B). Sorry for those that came in close to darkness. Note 1: going from Ridge Rd to Stanley, Stanley is a steep down hill with a right turn at the bottom Note 2: don’t like N. Eagle Village Rd. can do right on Palmer from 173. Palmer is a nice down hill Note 3: on Salt Springs Rd after N. Eagle, is a downhill. Be careful of cross street. ...Continue Reading

6 riders showed for the iffy weather day @ Marcellus Park. Upon arrival, the lot was found to already be half full w/the Pratate Cancer Awareness ride. Within 2 miles of the start, there was a light mist in the air and eventually, wet roads. The mist/rain and wet roads would alternate to overcast and dry multiple times. 2 riders went the long route w/the others going short toward RT 41. The road surface on Coldbrook looked as though it had been carpet bombed with all the pot holes, but generally had decent road conditio ...Continue Reading
