Either the weather or everyone’s saving themselves for the Spring Fling. This morning’s thunderstorms rolled through the area between 9:15 and 9:45 so I wasn’t looking forward to riding either. Even though the rain stopped by 9:45 the roads were wet. I waited until 10:!5 but no one showed up. I was tempted to go out but waited until later in the day and rode from home. From: mailto: Driving to the park at first no rain but the closer I got more rain. The rain lessened the closer to start time. Then a few potential riders started showing up. Looked like the ride would finally happen after 2 rain soaked weeks. One comment was “if those kids can play soccer we can ride.” And so it happened. Five of us left on a 19 mile ride. Hello all again. We are ready for the rescheduled trout stocking event on Wednesday 5/14/2025. The only difference is that due to a huge downed tree on the Creek next to the golf course, the get out will not be at the Erie Canal. The get out will be at the Camillus Highway Garage. So, instead of a 2.2 mile paddle, it will be a 1.2 mile paddle. The trout won't care. So, if you bring two cars, don't leave one at the Erie canal. Leave it at the Highway Garage.
