We had a great turnout for our club ride today in Jamesville beach park.  I believe we had about 50 riders doing the 56-mile Syracuse Ironman 70.3 course, some other variation, or the shorter route.  Sounds like everyone enjoyed the routes - there were some beautiful views along the course.  The only complaint was the pain-in-the-ass wind, which always makes a ride more difficult.  Great picnic afterward, too.  Thank you to Mike Lyon for organizing the event again this year, Roland Pearson for c ...Continue Reading

Had 27 riders with distances of 4(30) 2(39) 3(40) 2(49) 7(50) 1(53) 8(57)   Two comments of nice side trip to New Woodstock general store. ( Stopped there seeing about a dozen riders who were on a tour of CNY.  One had a Kestral bike)   Was a low wind day with lots of elevation and above normal temp (high 70’s)   One flat reported (my own). We had 30 rides scheduled for the month of May. Unfortunately, this has been a very wet spring, which caused 11 of those rides to either have no riders, or just a handful. Too many Saturdays fell victim to rain.The Slow 'n Easy West rides on Tuesday nights continue to be the most popular with 47 riders on 5/16 and 50 riders the following week.
