16 riders came to Marcellus Park this morning to ride between 31 and 66 miles on this beautiful day. No flats or incidents were reported. Riders gave the route an "A" rating. There were gorgeous views, especially of Skaneateles Lake. The route is classified as "rolling to hilly," but with an average of 66 feet of climbing per mile, it's actually a "very hilly" course. A challenging but very rewarding ride! Thanks to all who came out :)-Colleen Farrell ...Continue Reading

Hi Everyone, sorry I could not join you all last week but I’ll be here this week. OCC’s next *Slow ‘n Easy West* ride is scheduled for Tuesday September 5, 2017 and departs the west end parking lot of Reed Webster Park in Camillus, located on Warners Rd (Rt 173), promptly at 6:00 PM. Hi all - we are adding an official club ride on Labor Day morning. The ride will start at 9:00 a.m. from Marcellus Park, and it will be the Marowaskaoti Tour. Ride distances are 33, 50, and 65, and the routes take us along Skaneateles and Otisco Lakes. For those who want a flatter or shorter option, you can go out and back on Pleasant Valley Road, right near the park. The weather forecast looks great for Monday, so I hope you can come out and join me on this very scenic ride. I'll have a few maps ...Continue Reading

Sunday's ride is a nice 50/70 mile route through Madison County. Forecast calls for rain but we all know how reliable CNY forecasts can be, so I will be at the ride starting point (Caz HS) as scheduled. Alternate 40 and 48 mile routes will be available - these routes follow the general path of the 50 mile route. However, they avoid all of Rt. 13 and most of Rt. 80 and instead go through some interesting (and low traffic) side country. All routes have 3 or more climbs. If you plan on doing ...Continue Reading

Well, I predicted PRs and that's what we got! I guess the riders may have had something to do with it, so I can't take all of the credit.10 TTers showed up to take advantage of the SE breeze - one newby to the Chit TT course - welcome George! There were three PRs set and the rest were all close. The fastest rider was Erika Z who disemboweled the course with a sizzling 24:05 (24.91 mph). She set a PR by 11 seconds and she is inching closer to the woman's record set by Emily Elbers of 23:46. Only 19 seco ...Continue Reading

He gave me his business card during the winter and I thought I handed it to you or Don Butler.
