21 members and one guest rode a total of 875 miles in mid 80 degree heat Friday. All returned safely with no incidents reported. 17 rode the 45 mile option with 4 doing 32 miles and 1 rode 18 miles. The guest did not indicate any miles. Bob R ...Continue Reading

Hey all, I’m looking to go out riding in the morning with my wife – she is a very inexperienced rider – looking for a scenic area within an hour of Syracuse with relatively flat riding surface – dedicated biking trail preferred but lightly travelled roads would be fine – in the 10-12 mile range – any thoughts? Any of the lakes have good dedicated riding paths – not including Onondaga Lake (have done that one many times)? Wednesday ride was warm but light winds. Overall nice weather for a ride. 30 riders rode 1080 miles. 10 rode the 32 mile route3 rode the 41 mile route11 rode the 44 mile routeThe rest rode other lengths. I am ride leader for tomorrow's club ride "Joan's Breakfast Ride". Since the start time is 10:00 AM, I doubt any will partake of breakfast in Skaneateles, which is what we used to do. Also, the weather will be iffy at best. I have heard rain is forecast to begin as showers between 11AM and Noon, or 3 - 4 PM. If the weather turns early, I will certainly perform the ride leader's duties but will not actually ride (in my old age, have become a fair weather rider).
