Hi Everyone,  The next *Slow ‘n Easy West* ride is scheduled for Tuesday, May 30, 2017.  The rides leave from the west end parking lot of Reed Webster Park in Camillus located on Warners Rd (Rt 173).  Our rides start promptly at 6:00 PM.   The forecast for Tuesday’s weather shows “…/partly sunny with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm/…” with a high of 74…with a little luck it should be a good night to ride. Last day of May and again the weather was less than optimal for a bike ride.  But five Friday faithful cyclists persevered to do the 40 mile ride from Carpenter Brook to Spook Woods.  We skipped the famous Bonta Bridge due to the sporadic drizzle (sometimes heavy), but managed to get in the same number of miles with our detour.  Attached is the obligatory picture at the Spook Woods road sign.   ...Continue Reading

This past Tuesday night was a clone of week 1 -   70 degrees with 4-5 mph NW breeze.   There may have been  a tiny headwind for the initial three miles on Chestnut Ridge. There were a bunch of OCC riders (28) and 1 guest( who will be joining soon) Most rode the longish 32/33 miles with some wind         And the normal bad crevices on RT 80.
