Tomorrow (Saturday) we will have another skills clinic, this one starting at 9am from the Camillus Airport on Cessna Drive.  Mike and Ben will cover several topics, including emergency braking, and any other skills you would like them to talk about.  The ride will start at 10am, and the short distance ride (29 miles) will be a no-drop ride.  Here's the link for the maps:  http://onondagacyclingclub.org/ride_calendar/index.php?op=ShowDay&day=20&month=05&year=2017See you then!-Colleen ...Continue Reading

[occ2] Thursday SnE canceled

May 18th 2017 MDT

A look at the Channel 9 forecast and my RadarNow app suggest the it is going to be raining and/or very wet until dark. Brenda and I made an executive decision to cancel this evening's ride. Next week Dale Barnell is leading Thursday's ride. I was going to remind people that many Thursday SnEs still are "ride leaderless" so please rush directly to the OCC Ride Calendar and sign up to lead. Brenda and I can scan and send you leaders some optional maps we've come up with in addition to the SNEE1 map you'll ...Continue Reading

[occ2] Wednesday ride report

May 18th 2017 MDT

30 riders came out for Wednesday's ride from Camillus airport. It was nice not to wear a jacket, tights, or toe warmers! Three flats that I know of, and a couple of riders got lost and rode a few extra miles, but all in all everyone had a good ride. It was hot enough for cold watermelon after the ride. Thanks to everyone who came out! See ya next Wednesday out in Caz... -Colleen ...Continue Reading

[occ2] Friday Ride

May 18th 2017 MDT

Tomorrow’s ride will leave from Parish and go to Derby Hill on Lake Ontario.  I’m told by a local bird expert not to expect to see any of the big birds there this time of year (as the cue indicates).  So if you’re planning on going, you’ll just have to enjoy the ride.  You can visit Derby Hill on the short or long ride, 37 or 48 miles.  It’s usually a good place to take a break, but tomorrow may be a little chilly to linger too long.  The map and cue are separate so I’ll have a few of each.  ...Continue Reading

May 17th 2017 MDT

At the risk of jinxing us.....   it was a typical pleasant night for the Tuesday night TT -   temps hovered around 70 degrees with breeze that faded to under 5mph out of the NW.  We had a decent turn out for the first TT of the season -  13 riders rolled to the start line.  The turnout was bolstered by the attendance of four members of the "Cork Monkey" women's cycling team.  Nice to see some new faces.   The fastest rider of the night was Dennis Williams who ripped thro ...Continue Reading

[occ2] SnE West ride 5/16/17

May 16th 2017 MDT
