I will be at the start area at 9:30 to talk about cadence, shifting, and really anything that anyone has questions about. I’m also ready to ride along with any for a few miles and work through shifting issues on the road. See you, or not, in a bit. Dear Cyclists: in case you were seriously considering coming out for a ride in the rain this morning, I am canceling this morning's skills clinic. I may offer this in advance of another OCC ride soon. Ben might still come out to cover some other topics - I will leave it to him to post a go/no-go. Attached is a hand-out with talking points I was planning to discuss. Sorry and see you some other (drier) time. Last day of May and again the weather was less than optimal for a bike ride. But five Friday faithful cyclists persevered to do the 40 mile ride from Carpenter Brook to Spook Woods. We skipped the famous Bonta Bridge due to the sporadic drizzle (sometimes heavy), but managed to get in the same number of miles with our detour. Attached is the obligatory picture at the Spook Woods road sign. ...Continue Reading

It's hard to determine the overall effect - some riders were faster, some were faster. Let's go with this premise: if you were slower , it was due to the wind; if you were faster, it was due to improved fitness. We had the same number of riders turn out as last week - 13, but unfortunately only 12 were able to roll ...Continue Reading
