[occ2] Friday ride

July 19th 2016 MDT

Friday is fast approaching and this week we’ll start from Marcellus and do some hills.  http://onondagacyclingclub.org/maps/index.php?map_id=212&func=showmapimage I’ve heard weather forecasts from 91 – 94 so I’m considering starting the ride at 9 a.m. instead of the usual 10 a.m. start.  If that’s too early, you’re still welcome to start at the regular time; I will wait until everyone gets back.  I’ll make a call by Thursday so stay tuned here for updates…. ...Continue Reading

[occ2] Saturday ride report

July 16th 2016 MDT

The ride had scheduled mileages of 33, 46 & 59 miles but it seems like hardly any of the 34 riders logged in those numbers. A variety of miles between 31 and 63.6 were recorded with a few confessions of "getting lost". Other comments included "braking for old skunks", "fear of downhills gone" and "hilly! not rolling to hilly" which others who chose the longer option confirmed. In general it was just a great morning for a bike ride with pleasant temperatures, low winds and ...Continue Reading

[occ2] Re: OCC Tuesday night Time Trial Results #8 - Chittenango - East TT course

July 14th 2016 MDT

In my haste I did fail to mention that Jill Walsh rode a 3-wheeled trike.  18.31 mph on a trike is an excellent speed! I believe she said that a speed of 17.5 mph qualifies one for the Nationals.Brian From:* "Brian Goetke goetke1@PROTECTED" <occ2@PROTECTED> *To:* occ2 Subscriber <goetke1@PROTECTED> Sent:* Wednesday, July 13, 2016 4:21 PM Subject:* [occ2] OCC Tuesday night Time Trial Results #8 - Chittenango - East TT course (Mailing list information, including how to remove ...Continue Reading

[occ2] Re: Wednesday night ride report

July 14th 2016 MDT

Yes, the ride leader decided to go home and dump the water out of his cycling shoes that had collected in the short amount of time he was loading the bike into the car during the deluge.   Entertaining write-up Dave.   Glad you all managed to stay away from the "red" cells that were lurking around Cazenovia.     I was surprised you all decided to go down Stanley cliff.... you all must be confident of your brakes.I have confirmation that 5 made it back safely...     Ed?   ...Continue Reading

July 13th 2016 MDT
