It was a nice windy day for the 100Km ride 11 riders started the ride (8 for 62, 2 for 46) 1 rider (ride leader) had a hole in the side wall that caused a blowout on rt 11A downhill so only did 3.6 miles 1 rider came in from Syracuse, tempting the weather forecast (lucky it didn’t rain as predicted) Reported was Stevens road at 17% Strong was a surprise quite hilly 11A was a steep descent Total climb was 3700 feet Rt 13 needs resurfacing And it was very scenic Total was 593 miles. Hi Everyone, OCC’s next *Slow ‘n Easy West* ride is scheduled for Tuesday, August 30,2016 and leaves from the west end parking lot of Reed Webster Park in Camillus, located on Warners Rd (Rt 173), promptly at 6:00 PM.  It’s the end of August as well as NYS Fair week…some  roads that connect to the Fair may be congested. 18 members and no guests had a great day of rollers to Rudy's and back. One flat two miles to the finish and one chain problem reported. Pics are posted on the clubs FaceBook site and a few of us enjoyed not only ice cream at Rudy's but drinks and food after the ride at Liverpool Bull and Bear! And there was also water melon at the end of ride too! A total of 1,025 miles and even though there was one route the sign in had miles ridden between 18 to 68 averaging 57 mi per person. Greetings!I am the ride leader for tomorrow's scenic trek from outer Baldwinsville to Fulton and back.I didn't look at the weather forecast, mainly because it doesn't matter! We'll ride anyway. I am the ride leader this coming Sunday for the 100K (miles conversion by 2.54 cm per inch)   I will have maps for those that don’t have electronic cue availability.   I remember doing this ride where the leader was Teresa Hoy on 7/11/14 She is a teacher who destroyed us on the first grind climb.
