We had a decent night for the time trial. Temps were 63 degrees and the breeze was around 6pm out of the east. Fall is definitely in the air. Although next week may be close to 80 degrees!Five TTers showed up to squeeze in a chance to peg their heart rates. Ron made the trek from Oswego to claim the Fastest Man Time (FMT). He cruised through the course in a time of 25:27(23.57mph). Ken soldiered through the course in 27:15(22.02mph) as he comes off a week of feeling under the weather ...Continue Reading

From: mailto: I will be leading the ride from the parking lot behind the Dunkin’ Donut shop on Rt. 49 in Central Square on Friday at 10am. There are 5 different routes to choose from at distances ranging from 28 to 62 miles. Weather looks to be cool and cloudy but there is no rain in the forecast (at least not as I type this). I’m not sure which distance I will be riding - most likely something in the 40 mile range so bring your own map or GPS device and be ready to go at 10 am sharp Dave DiRoma ...Continue Reading

The weather looks decent for tomorrow. The interesting aspect is the wind direction. It is supposed to be coming out of the east, shifting to the S-SE. Around 8mph. I have always felt SE was the fastest direction.. With some luck the wind may shift early. If I get a minimum of 3 positive responses (text me 315-727-1458) from TTers wanting to give it go, I'll be at the start. Please let contact me by 3pm if interested. We have a nice spell of warm weather coming, ...Continue Reading

Jim, I'm sorry to hear about your fall. Wow. It certainly sounds like a concussion. I fell on those tracks about 3 years ago. They intersect the road at such a steep angle that it is very easy to catch your tire in the groove and go down. The angle of the tracks force you to swerve out as you approach them so that you go over them close to a 90 degree angle. Definitely hazardous. Love the road, hate those tracks. I went down on my left side too on to my elbow, arm and shoulde ...Continue Reading

Hi Everyone,I wanted to share an event that happened in the hope of helping someone else in the future. I decided to ride the 53 mile Truxton route the club was to make on Sunday. I wanted to finish early to chase life's needs. I set out on my own at 8am up Apulia road like I have so many times. My last memory of the ride was approaching the RR tracks at Jamesville Beach. I know I was aware of the wet conditions and was thinking of the need to be careful. My Garmin sent out an Event Notification that I had an event ...Continue Reading
