On Tuesday the rain that had spread across our area and the threat of more to come discouraged anyone from showing up for the TT.   My bleak pronouncement of the forecast didn't help either.  It turned out that the TT course was just about bone dry with only a little moisture under the tree covered parts of the course.  Black Creek is getting further packed down with a sprinkling of stone crumbs here and there.  I cleaned the turn at the north end so the TTers should be able to hit it at fu ...Continue Reading

The threat of rain kept all but 7 riders and 1 guest from coming to the ride last night.  No rain and dry roads greeted us.  The guest, a novice rider, enjoyed a 10-mile ride mostly on the canal.  I’m sure they will return next week.  The others rode 25-23 miles.  Rain did show up as we were leaving the park.  As always, if you have a route you want to ride next week, please let me know.    ...Continue Reading

Unfortunately the forecast has degraded since yesterday.   There are currently rain showers on the TT course.   The chance of showers is about 65% until 8pm.  I'll pop up to the course around 5:30pm to see if the remnants of "Debbie" have moved a bit south of the TT course.
