I rode out to the TT course and not a stitch of work has begun on Chestnut Ridge or Black Creek.  Signs everywhere though.  According to the Madison County web site all of Chestnut Ridge is due for a Road Rehab & Repaving.   Hopefully they will finish quickly and give us nice smooth surface.I will try to call Madison County to see if they are starting tomorrow.  Let's plan on it being a go tomorrow.  Weather forecast at start time (6:15pm):Temperature -  79 degrees Wind - ...Continue Reading

Yes, it was a beautiful day for a ride and others thought so too!Eighteen riders (yes, 18!) did the ride from Phoenix yesterday. Sixteen started with the group and two caught us along the way doing the route backwards. Several did the 19 mile ride that Karen designed (thank you, Karen!) and the remainder did the longer 44 mile ride.It was nice to see everyone enjoying the day and joining the ride. The weather didn't quite pan out as predicted.  We expected 79 degrees, 9mph, partly sunny and 42% humidity.  At start time the temperature had dropped to 73 degrees, light breeze, overcast and high humidity.  Six TTers rolled to the line to tackle the TT course.  Not surprisingly,  Tiago took the FMT honors with a blistering time of 21:57(27.34mph).  He was disappointed that his speed wasn't higher given that his power output was higher than previous TTs. All, Nine members showed up on a hot day. Turned out the elementary school was having a graduation ceremony so most of us had to park down the road at St Mary’s Church while two members met up with us at Jamesville Beach. Sorry for all the confusion on that but glad we all synced up. It started and finished hot. Riders going out East Keeney reported wet roads and the one rider doing 54 miles got drenched along route 13 heading to Truxton.
