Perhaps it was the weather or perhaps that I had asked if someone else could lead on the chance that I might not get home from business travel on the Thursday before but I was the only one to show up. I originally planned to ride the longer 66 mile loop but given the forecast opted for the 40 mile loop instead. It almost paid off but the rain started with about 2 miles to go. Good morning all. I am the ride leader for this morning’s Skyline Drive ride at 10AM. I did make it back from and unexpected business trip late last night (more like early this morning) this week. The ride starts behind the McDonalds in Canastota right near the Thruway entrance. The weather looks dicey today. Low chance of rain through noon increasing to 60% and then just keeps going up for the rest of the afternoon. What a beautiful night for a bike ride!! The temperature was a comfortably dry 83 degrees and the wind puffed out of the S-SE at no more than 4mph.Four TTers rolled to the start line to take on their individual Race of Truth.  The Fastest Men's Time (FMT) was posted by Kaleb Toscano. He eviscerated the TT course with a PR time of 24:30 (24.48mph).
