All, I’m the ride leader for Saturday’s ride starting at the Wellwood School in Fayetteville across from Beard Park. Earlier this week the forecast was for rain but Mother Nature is (hopefully) going to spare us from another wet ride. The forecast calls for sunny skies with temps in the low 70’s. A warm night with 30 riders doing 530 miles.  Multiple questions “do think it is going to rain?” response NO.  But it did just briefly and enough to get some of the roads wet and loosen the dirt.  Bike needs some cleansing.  Had one flat just as they left the parking lot.  Fortunately, my car was unlocked and they had access to the cookies.  We were rewarded with a rainbow!!      ...Continue Reading

Despite the iffy/rainy weather, we had a great turnout. There were 32 riders doing a whole bunch of miles. Besides the rain, which ended fairly soon, the only issues I was aware of were 2 flats, one leaving the parking lot.  Massive amounts of food were consumed that had been prepared by world famous chef Roland Pearson (thanks Roland). A bunch of riding apparel was available FREE not even a raffle ticket (no extra cost) was needed.
