The weather didn't quite pan out as predicted. We expected 79 degrees, 9mph, partly sunny and 42% humidity. At start time the temperature had dropped to 73 degrees, light breeze, overcast and high humidity. Six TTers rolled to the line to tackle the TT course. Not surprisingly, Tiago took the FMT honors with a blistering time of 21:57(27.34mph). He was disappointed that his speed wasn't higher given that his power output was higher than previous TTs. The cooler humid air may have ...Continue Reading

All, Nine members showed up on a hot day. Turned out the elementary school was having a graduation ceremony so most of us had to park down the road at St Mary’s Church while two members met up with us at Jamesville Beach. Sorry for all the confusion on that but glad we all synced up. It started and finished hot. Riders going out East Keeney reported wet roads and the one rider doing 54 miles got drenched along route 13 heading to Truxton. Other than the parking snafu no other incidents were reported. 1 ri ...Continue Reading

From: mailto: Not sure if they were there last night but as of this morning there were construction signs on Chestnut Ridge near the TT start line and loose stone signs on Black Creek. The roads were all in ridable condition as of an hour ago but it seems like that may not be the case for long. I ride out there regularly and will let Brian know of any issues. We had a good turnout at Saturday's DeRuyter Reservoir Tour club ride, with 12 members and 3 guests joining the ride despite the earlier rain, oppressive humidity, and the occasional threat of pop-up storms. Ten cyclists conquered the 35-mile tour around DeRuyter Reservoir, while five enjoyed the downhill section of Oran Delphi road on the return loop of the 19-mile course. I did not hear of any maintenance or other issues. As a small peloton, a group of eight riders set an impressive pace that lit up the 35-mi ...Continue Reading
