We had 21 members and 1 guest for the ride.  No mechanical issues that I know of, but there was a failure to follow the cue sheet.  I believe it was caused by the “need” to keep up with the faster riders rather than paying attention to the cue sheet or GPS.  More than half the riders on my route missed a turn.  However, they did have to work a bit harder climbing up Canton Street to get back on course.  There were frozen treats back at the park.See you next week. I will be working the polls ...Continue Reading

I’ve done it again! Signed up to be Saturday’s (June 13) ride leader for the Lake Neatahwana Rides starting out of Lysander Town Park. (Last time I led this ride we rode through gale force winds - looks breezy but not bad so far for Saturday 🤞🏽.) These are the routes we didn’t get to ride on the Spring Fling washout! Various ride lengths from 15 to 52 miles. I’ll be opting for the 33-miler and it will probably end up as a no-drop due to my lack of speed. We had almost perfect conditions for the TT Tuesday night.  The temperature was sultry 82-85 degrees around the TT course.  The breeze had died off to a light puff out of the SW.Five brave TTers rolled to the start line.   Hop crushed the course in a PR time of 24:30(24.48mph).  He did so without sporting the shoe cover/ribbed sock combo from last week. Thanks Zeke for bringing back Monday night mountain bike rides to the calendar. I met a bunch of people and I think we all had fun. I heard some say they had been to great bear in a long time. I’m sure it had changed a lot for them. We had 10 members and 1 guess. 2 26” wheels, 2 fat tires and the rest 29s. Zeke lead a group and I lead a group. Part way through we met-up and we reconfigured the groups a bit and carried on. We all rode for an hour and half to an hour and three quarters.
