Ten hardy souls came out to ride on a gorgeous November morning. Five did 33 miles and five did 41/42. Thank you to Kelly for convincing me to do the 33-mile 30-mile ride! Great company, fun to ride in a group. Heard only good things from all at the end, so assuming no issues - just a great ride. Hello! I’m going to try to get out at least one more time this season, so I’ve signed up to lead a ride out of Onondaga Lake Park on Sunday the 2nd. NOTE THAT DST ends in the wee hours of that morning, so set your clocks BACK to arrive at the correct time. Park by the BOATHOUSE. Distances of 25, 30, and 41 miles. Please join our family at the Walk to End Alzheimer's on Sunday, November 2 at 9AM at the SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College campus.  We are participating in honor of my wife, Diane Adler Farnach who was diagnosed with "Mild Cognitive Impairment" in 2017.The disease has progressed since then and she is now a resident in a memory care facility.  The funds raised will be used to find a way to treat and hopefully prevent this devastating disease in the future.   Please join our team or ...Continue Reading

It was reading 38F outside the kitchen widow when I left, and was only several degrees warmer when I arrived @ Carpenter's Brook for the start. 4 of us rolled down the extended driveway from the hatchery w/wetness still on the road. I was comfortable w/full tights, bootie covers, ear wrap and mittens on. The colors in the trees were near peak in may spots on this ride and cool, damp air enhanced the wood's fragrances.
