We had a good turnout at Saturday's DeRuyter Reservoir Tour club ride, with 12 members and 3 guests joining the ride despite the earlier rain, oppressive humidity, and the occasional threat of pop-up storms. Ten cyclists conquered the 35-mile tour around DeRuyter Reservoir, while five enjoyed the downhill section of Oran Delphi road on the return loop of the 19-mile course. I did not hear of any maintenance or other issues. As a small peloton, a group of eight riders set an impressive pace that lit up the 35-mi ...Continue Reading

From: mailto: We had 9 riders turn out on a sweaty evening, covering 227 miles with no flats or other incidents. Due to roadwork on Kirkville Road, we chose to ride the first portion of the 23 mile ride via Saintsville Road, then picked up the usual course at N. Kirkville. In a major faux pas the substitute ride leader failed to bring the homemade post-ride refreshments usually provided by the regular ride leader. In his defense, it probably would not have been edible anyway. Cheers! Dave ...Continue Reading

It was a steamy evening for the Tuesday Time Trial. Luckily, by 6:30pm the temperature on the course had dropped down to 83 degrees in the shady areas and to 87 degrees in the sunnier sections. There was little to no breeze.Three TTers showed up to test themselves in the fast air. Unfortunately, Rich's tire had a flat and no tubular spares were available. So, that left Kevin and Jon to tackle the course. Jon had not done the TT since Sept 2022. He apparently has been train ...Continue Reading

All, Before I selected this route I did check the Jamesville School District website which indicated classes ended today. To be sure I did call the elementary school today and they said they are having a fourth grade graduation Friday and expect the parking lot to be full. With than knowledge in hand on the way home from work I looked for an alternate starting area. My thought is we meet a mile up the road at Clark Reservation State Park. The governor did wave fees at all parks for yesterday and today but not tomor ...Continue Reading
