I feel like I posted this previously, but I’m not seeing it, so apologies if it’s a rehash. Thirteen riders started out on Sunday, August 27, including one brand new to the club. One turned around at three miles due to leg pain and one pulled up at 12 miles with a flat. After an unsuccessful attempt to change the tube, he called AAA and was home before the rest of us! The roads dried out for the most part Tuesday evening. The slight S-SW breeze proved to be somewhat favorable. The only negative factor was an approx 30 inch wide cut across the road on Smith Ridge near Blackcreek.  I blew out a couple of clean paths through the large gravel fill hoping to avoid flat inducing punctures. Three TTers were chomping at the line ready to roll at start time.
