A combination of factors suppressed the attendance Tuesday night.   The rain did indeed hit the start area with heavy rain around 5:20pm.  Rich O'Neil was there to report that and it curtailed his warm-up.  He left disappointed.    But, by 6:15pm most of the course had dried out with the exception of the first 1.5 miles that had a few puddles that could be avoided.  The wind appeared to shifting around a lot with the passing storm front.Three riders shrugged off the threat of rain and ...Continue Reading

What a get night for a ride. While encounter a bit of rain on the way over, that end.  Nearly all of the roads were dry.  We had 11 members and 1 guest. Most did the 23 mile route. We had 2 new members on their first club ride.  Welcome Jeff and Bethany !!A total of 218 miles were ridden without incident.  It was also the first time popsicles and water melon (Karen) were waiting for everyone.Hope to see you next week. The weather patterns keep shifting.   A little while ago it appeared that showers may hit the course around 5:50.  Now it looks like a red cell will hit the start area around 5:50pm or so.  And then clear out and leave us with wet roads. We have several negative factors for today's Time Trial.   One is the elevated Air Quality Index.  It is currently around 118.  The warnings state that this is  Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups.   So, please consider yourself advised.Secondly, we are looking at a sketchy weather forecast.  There is a 40-50% chance for rain and possibly in the form of T-storms between 3-5pm.     We'll have to see what happens.  I'll provide an update in about 3 hours and I'll ...Continue Reading
