I hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day! Yesterday, 7 riders completed distances ranging from 40 to 65 miles, starting out of Preble, with most finishing a metric century, plus or minus. It was an absolutely beautiful day for a ride. The only issue of note was a diversion taken by RideWithGPS off of route 41A and onto Poverty Rd. The first half mile was great, but the next 2 consisted of a dirt road with gravel and mud! Six members and three guests rode through Jordan while rambling through and beyond Warners on Saturday, 8/30. One member was a guest last week and enjoyed the experience so much, he joined and rode as a member! Three did the 39 mile route out to Weedsport and back, and the rest of us turned for home in Jordan, for a total of 285 miles covered. Ten members came out to ride on a rather cool morning for the end of August. With dark clouds and a brisk northwest wind, we ventured out around Oswego County. Fortunately, we got lucky and had only a couple sprinkles although the wet roads in some areas gave us a spray necessitating a bike cleanup when I got home. Nine of us did the shorter option; one person opted for 40 miles.All in all, a good ride. No incidents that I'm aware of. The weather Tuesday night had a tinge of Fall in it....    Temperatures hovered around 68 degrees and the breeze came out of the W-NW at around 8mph.  Five TTers rolled to the start line.  We had another new TTer - Welcome Elliot !     Ken T scorched the course in a Fastest Man Time (FMT) of 25:43(23.33mph).  He had skipped last week and apparently was fully recovered.  He was only one second off of his best 2025 time.  Only 5 seconds behind was Mike H on his Road r ...Continue Reading
