September 5th 2025 MDT

Another Friday, another OCC ride.Today we rode the route for Erik's Escape from OLP. Although the majority of us did a further escape making a nice, slightly longer option to the ride. Six of us did the extended route of 36 miles while one did the regular 32 miler. It was a great day to ride with sunny skies and, at times, a hefty breeze, on some great roads. Thanks to Erik for creating this route! It was mentioned today that next week is the Annual Charity ride. I will help Mike and put in a word "Don't forget to si ...Continue Reading

[occ2] OCC Tuesday Night Time Trial results - week 15

September 3rd 2025 MDT

Well, Mother Nature, again delivered a good night for the time trial.  Temperature around 73 degrees and a fading light breeze of 4 mph out of E-NE.  Rarely do we see the breeze from that direction.  It set up a slight tailwind for the first 3 miles and apparently not much of a headwind on easterly portion of the course (5-8mile mark).Four TTers rolled to the start line.  Mike Hop brought out his speed rig as well as sporting his speedy socks and it paid off big time.  He rocketed through the co ...Continue Reading

[occ2] Sunday ride report

September 1st 2025 MDT

I hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day! Yesterday, 7 riders completed distances ranging from 40 to 65 miles, starting out of Preble, with most finishing a metric century, plus or minus. It was an absolutely beautiful day for a ride. The only issue of note was a diversion taken by RideWithGPS off of route 41A and onto Poverty Rd. The first half mile was great, but the next 2 consisted of a dirt road with gravel and mud! Two of us opted to complete that section, and had fun doing so, but I could understand that’s not ...Continue Reading
