13 riders showed up for the Clark Hollow – Fall Foliage Ride on Saturday August 24th. The weather was ideal for a ride. No incidents were reported. Total milage ridden was 590 miles. The numerous clouds didn't discourage 8 people from coming out to ride this morning on this last Friday in August. All except one rider did the 37 mile route. We stayed together so it's true - Fridays can be social. Our lone rider of 48 miles came in shortly after the rest of us. No problems were noted. We had a few sprinkles on the way back, but luckily that was the extent of the rain. A pretty hefty southeast wind was very apparent. We had primo conditions Tuesday night. The temperature was in the low 80s and the SW breeze dropped below 6mph. Six riders rolled to the line for their Ride of Truth. And most came out of the other side with smiles on their faces. Rob Coapman turned back the clock and scorched the course in a Fastest Man Time (FMT) and PR time of 21:52 (27.44mph). Was a bit warm for the 17 riders but all rode. Most did a 22 mile loop, while others did 20.Ms. Nancy supplied a post ride lemon zucchini bread.
