6 riders logged 162 miles. We all opted to take Creek Road. Great area if you've never taken it. Climbed right to the windmills in Fenner; always spectacular to get close to them and hear the turbines and woosh of the wind. Cooler up there with a nice breeze. The downhill from Caz to Chitt is just the best. Great ride. Hot, but a decent night. No precipitation. No flats or incidents beyond a thrown chain or two. Bob Ravera ...Continue Reading

Well, hopefully we have had our rain for the day and the evening will be clear. Either way, it will be a hot evening. If you would like to ride in the shade and have some really beautiful scenery and interesting geology, take a right on Creek Road off of Route 5. This will "Y" into Osborne and leader to Cottons Road where it will continue with the designated ride. It is all on the OCC Map which I will have at the ride. Thanks. Bob Ravera ...Continue Reading

When I left for the park it was raining pretty hard at my house. But by the time I got to the park the roads were dry and it appeared that it hadn’t rained there at all. Only one person at the park, but as the departure time got closer more riders showed up. We had a total of 11 riders that did 244 miles, most doing 24 miles. While it didn’t rain at all and the sun shone, we were raining sweat! The humidity registered at 75%. Over all not a bad ride. See you next week??? ...Continue Reading

Despite red cell assaults from the southeast, the OCC Weather Control System (WCS - patent pending) held firm. Not a single drop of Mother Nature's tears touched the tarmac. The temperature was around 84 degrees, humidity high, but the winds amazingly settled down to less than 4mph. The conditions approached ideal - certainly a speed rating of no less than 9 out of 10. Nine riders trusted the WCS and came out to do battle with themselves. Ben Rabin (FMT) smoked the course in a blistering time of 23:45 (2 ...Continue Reading

As daylight won't hold out for the 51 or 68 mile options, I've tried to add a 32 mile option for a bit longer ride. I've attached a map and directions. If anyone has any suggestions or corrections, please post an email. I will bring maps. Hopefully the weather will be dry. Thanks. Bob Ravera ...Continue Reading
