From: mailto: Sunday’s ride was the Tour of the Windmills. If you’ve never done this ride, add it to your list. It has climbs to tackle, but the views are fantastic. We had 8 riders. Two did the 29-31 mile route and gave positive comments about the ride. Six of us did the full 68 miles. It was a challenging ride, with three of us (Dan, Jim, Amy) on tired legs due to a long hard ride the day before; one (Dave) doing his longest ride so far this year; one (Chad) doing his longest ride ever; and one (me) just trying to ...Continue Reading

From: mailto: Was another great day for a ride. Had 20 riders do 24-56 miles. Two didn’t stay for the barbecue but we had two that came just to say hello and enjoy some great food. Thanks to those that brought a dish to pass. I’m not going to name them because for sure I would miss someone. It was a smaller group than usual but no problem. Most went home with at least one doggie bag. A big thanks to Miss Nancy for all the hard work putting the extravaganza on for the club. Don’t remember how many years we’ve be ...Continue Reading

The ride from Preble for a ride thru Otisco Valley and lake started with four riders seeing a mid 60's and sunny day. One rider had just finished an ER shift at midnight and was his first ride from Preble. He noted how great a place it was for a ride. Being a Friday, it was our usual social ride where we would gather at points after the tops of the many climbs. Thanks to the lead rider who deflected a dog who darted out from a wooded area on an upgrade. The last half of the ride had a ta ...Continue Reading

The heat may have swayed some to stay home or ride easy instead of coming to the TT. Only two had the desire to do so.Ken fresh off another 100+mile weekend couldn't push his heart to it's usual levels and had to settle for a mere mortal FMT of 27:21 (21.94mph). Rich had a solid TT and only missed his best 2025 by 24 seconds.I won't be running the Time Trial next week - Aug 5th. If you want to self time, send me your times and I'll report them.*Tour de Femme:*23 year old Maeva Squiban has put on quite ...Continue Reading
