The conditions at 6:15pm were sublime.  75 degrees with a 6mph breeze from the SE.  Yep!  the SouthEast !  Our most favorable direction!   But, I think the wind shifted slightly back to from the south and died out. Six riders came out to battle the course -  including one newby - Welcome John!   Perhaps Doug, Dan and Steve will now show up.   Alex Johnson was again the FMT with a blistering time of 23:44 (25.28). Twenty four riders came out for Saturday's Tour de Little France, fairly well split among the various route options, for a total of 1134 miles ridden. It was a lovely cool day for a ride, and the scenery was spectacular. I have to give a special shout out to Paul Vogelwede for riding with me for the entire half-century ride. I will be leading us out of Lysander Town Park on Sunday 9/1 at 9:00 am. The Apple Country Metric ride has 35,45, and 62 mile offerings. The weather forecast is calling for a 50% chance of rain but I’m hoping that will hold off until afternoon so at least some riding can occur. I will have a few paper maps.
