Hi Everyone,Mike and I discussed the weather conditions and decided it would be best if we cancelled tonight’s ride. The radar is showing a lot of rain coming up at us from the south. I was out and about this afternoon and when the rain came down heavy, you had almost zero visibility…not good for safe bike riding. See you all next week when it hopefully will not be raining. Relax and enjoy your evening…Tony and Mike Virus-free. www.avast.com ...Continue Reading

While there has been a respite to the rain the forecast calls for yellow and red cells to continuously float perilously close the TT course from 530 to 700pm. As a result I feel it is prudent to CANCEL the TT tonight.BrianTT Directore315-727-1458Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android On Tue, Jul 24, 2018 at 11:24 AM, Brian Goetke<goetke1@PROTECTED> wrote: The forecast is looking pretty bad for the TT tonight - Thunderstorms all day and evening. The forecast is looking pretty bad for the TT tonight - Thunderstorms all day and evening. I'll take a look at the forecast to see it if has improved before I make the call to cancel. The potential good news is that the wind is supposed to be 13 mph out of the SSE direction. This is the most favorable direction. I'll keep you posted!Tour Note:Today, Tomorrow and Thursday are mountain stages. Tomorrow is a unique stage. Get this! Only 40 miles long, BUT, 10,000 feet of clim ...Continue Reading

Hi Everyone,Just a couple of days until this week’ s *Slow ‘n Easy West* ride on Tuesday July 24th at 6:00 PM from the Reed Webster Park on Warners Rd (Rt 173) in Camillus. At this point I have no promise on the weather…we’ll have to give it some time to see what it is going to do. It should not be cold with a predicted high of 82 degrees. Overall AccuWeather says “…/Cloudy, a couple of showers and a thunderstorm; humid/.” Let’s see how it turns out. We have our regular mix of rides planned: ...Continue Reading

On a beautiful but somewhat breezy day, we had 32 members and 1 guest all the way from my hometown of Charlotte, NC take to the roads south of Fayetteville. 1532 total miles were hammered out. We had 2 flats, one of which was the ride leader (thanks Mark W for helping me fix). All in all a great day of riding. Paul Voglewede Sent from my iPhone ...Continue Reading

The thunderstorms cleared out, the sun came out and the humidity dropped to comfortable levels for the time trial Tuesday night. The only downside was a shifting 10 mph predominantly NW breeze that buffeted the TTer for a good portion of the course. Eight TTers showed up to battle the course. We had two newbies come out... Welcome Brian and Chris!Alex Johnson snagged the FMT again, but this time using the "old" Cervelo. He cruised the course in a time of 24:31 (24.47 mph). Karen Busse, a ...Continue Reading
