Hi to all our Riders! Do you think today’s heat and what they are forecasting for tomorrow is a little oppressive? If you do, try our ride(s) this Tuesday starting at 6:00 PM from Reed Webster Park on Warner’s Rd (Rt 173). Accuweather is forecasting that Tuesday’s weather will be “/Partly sunny; //cooler/” with a high of 76. Cooler is the operative word here. Quite a difference!...and nice for riding. Wow, what a beautiful day for a ride. 16 riders rode distances between 24 and 46 miles for a total of 686 miles. Most of us modified the ride to go south on Gully Road to New Seneca Turnpike. A serene interlude before plunging down to eat apple stix in Skaneateles.We were not without incidents. There was an entertaining domino fall involving several riders waiting for the light to change at John Glenn Blvd. One rider reported a flat and abandonment by his fellows. The TTers were greeted with sunny skies, warm temperatures (high 70s) and a moderate SW breeze. Okay. That breeze wasn't always considered with positive feelings - some stated that they always seemed to be in a head wind. Well, the times were good never-the-less! It was predicted to be a wet and windy evening last night. Ten riders showed up and nine decided to risk it. Five of us rode the shorter loop, to avoid possible rain, and four others chose various longer rides. We departed under threatening clouds and while it became quite windy for those rode the longer route, we were all rewarded with a dry ride and a rainbow at the very end. Good Morning All, Surely was a fantastic night to ride last night…warm with a light breeze…and it was still warm when the sun went over the horizon. Nice! Terrific turnout last night: 57 members and 4 guests for a total of 61 riders. This should raise the all time high 61 riders now. We had a great group of riders who took advantage of all four rides.
