25 riders showed up on a spectacular day and rode a total of 941 miles. Some riders got creative and found distances intermediate between the advertised 29 and 54 miles. And at least one rider reported "getting lost". I guess there could have been a little less wind, but for the last half of the ride it was mostly sort of a tailwind. Anyhow the ride received only A grades. Gus Sent from the almighty iPad ...Continue Reading

I serviced my rear DT Swiss 2 Pawl Onyx hub from about 2002. My first time, but I think it went well. It appears to me that one can't put too much grease on the pawls or in the free-hub body (or "rotor" as DT calls it). Too much grease or too sticky of a grease seems to interfere with the pawls and takes nearly all of the "click" away when spinning the free-hub. Yet, grease is needed, of course. Anybody had any experience with this? Am I corr ...Continue Reading

Hello!!Friday's rides are on the shorter side, but they are hillier than most of what we have ridden so far this season. I will meet everyone at Reed Webster Park on Warners Road for rides of 30 or 39 miles (or any distance you like). We ride out promptly at 10. I will have a few maps with me, so feel free to print your own or follow along using your GPS.Right now, weather is forecasted for thunderstorms. Of course, around here that is always subject to change.Molly ...Continue Reading
