Sundays ride started out as a grey dark 48 degree morning with a brisk wind and turned into a partly sunny ride and 52 degrees and a brisk wind! It really did turn out to be a nice ride. We had 11 members and 1 guest turn out for a total of 551 miles. 3 people opted to do the full 68. Here are few pics of the first set of windmills. They truly do not do the views justice. 7 riders rode the Ridges of madison County this morning. Five went 57 miles and 2 completed 38 miles. The weather was stunningly beautiful and, yes, there were a few hills to climb, but the views were worth it. The colors were not quite peak but there were plenty of good photo ops. Hey everyone, as usual we are in need of volunteers to help with setup on Friday Oct 21. We usually start around 1 pm pounding stakes and stringing tape. Saturday Oct 22, people to help make sure the tape is where it is supposed to be and general stuff. Also after the race the course is changed a bit for Sunday. Unscheduled OCC Tuesday Night ride #3 by request as things are usually done in threes… “Bullie Diner Dash 16 miles out of OLP (Liverpool Park). Meet at Boat house parking lot before the bridge. 5 pm meet up and 5:15ish rolling out to beat the sunset at 6:40 pm. Sunny and 70 degrees.
